ColourPop Liquid Lipstick Review + Swatches

So funny story...... because I live in the UK Colourpop doesn't ship here so I resorted to eBay to get my hands on some! After spending £80....Yes £80, I was very excited for my order to arrive. So when it arrived it turns out I had ordered £80 worth of mini liquid lipsticks! I got majorly ripped off!!!!! But oh well at least I had these mini's to try!
So these are the 10 mini liquid lipsticks I have been using for the last couple of weeks, and am going to review for you today!

  • Creeper;

  • Beeper;

  • More Better;

  • Bianca;

  • Tulle;

  • Be Merry;

  • Clueless;

  • Times Square;

  • Last Dance;

  • Last Dance;

All of these liquid lipsticks are SO pigmented and easy to apply compared to the Mac one I tried! The Mac one was rubbish!
Even the packaging of these is better (minus the fact they are mini), and the applicator is much easier to use and not as big as the Mac one.
These are amazing and I'm addicted to them and will definitely be buying more! I would highly recommend them, they are fool proof as they are so easy to work with.
 I would recommend exfoliating and putting some lipbalm on prior to wearing these though as they are matte, so quite drying.
All the colours are so beautiful and unique, if I had to pick a favourite it would be 'Last Dance'!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
(PS. I know these might be fakes as they are from eBay!)

How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

This is what I do and use to clean all my makeup brushes.
Now Im currently trying out the ELF Brush Shampoo, but honestly I haven't found anything yet so far that works better and is as cheap as Johnsons Baby Shampoo!

Get your dirty brushes ready.......

Step 1:

Step 2:

Step 3:

DONE!!!

I hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope it helps anyone who was unsure how to clean their brushes. Just a little tip, when letting them dry don't put them on a flat surface, slightly tilt them downwards so that any water can flow out through the brush hairs and not damage the glue inside!

Empties/ Products I Have Used Up

So far this year I have been trying to use up what products I have got instead of buying more (its not been going very well)! So I thought I would show you the products I have used up so far in 2016.

Skincare:
  • Limited Edition Simple Kind To Skin Cleansing Facial Wipes - They say they are super soft and for sensitive skin and claim to remove waterproof mascara. Now in my opinion they are not the softest wipes I have used and these ones left my face feeling a bit tingly afterwards, but they did remove waterproof mascara and left my face feeling very clean.
  • Elemis Freshskin Make-up Away Cleasing Wipes - These say they are facial and eye cleansing wipes and gently sweep away impurities whilst softening and conditioning the skin with elderflower extract and chamomile. Now these are my FAVOURITE face wipes ever! They were so soft and felt so luxurious, and they took my makeup and eye makeup off so easily in one swipe. They are brilliant and your skin feels fantastic afterwards, I would highly recommend them!
  • Boots Traditional Skincare Glycerin and Rosewater - This claims its for toning and moisturising. Now this is my second bottle of this stuff as it is so inexpensive, it doesn't really work as a makeup remover you have to rub too much, but it really does tone the face and leaves it feeling plump. Im not sure how moisturising it is though because this dried the skin on my nose and under-eye area out a lot, so bare that in mind. But just a warning (This is meant in a non offensive way!) it smells like old peoples perfume so its not the nicest smell and I did find the scent quite overpowering so that did put me off.
  • Boots Simply Sensitive Eye Make-up Remover - This is an extremely oily makeup remover meaning yes it got your eye makeup off but it felt so uncomfortable and I always got oil in my eyes (although it never stung). It was just way too oily for my liking and although its very inexpensive there are way better eye-makeup removers out there. So I wouldnt recommend it just because its so ridiculously oily.
  • Boots Simply Sensitive Hydrating Eye Cream - You get 15ml of product in the tube which is a pretty decent size for an eye cream, but using this one has given me milia around my eyes (Caused by moisturisers being too rich for the thin delicate skin around the eye). It was too rich and oily for my eye area so I just used it all over my face to use it up, I wouldn't recommend it, it doesn't really do anything.
  • Benefit Instant Comeback Facial Serum - Its an age-defying booster serum for the face, I really enjoyed using it, I felt my skin looked really plump whenever I put it on and it didn't dry my skin out either which is good because products like this tend to. The only downside to this product is that it is very heavily scented like perfume, which is fine if you don't mind it, but I wouldn't recommend it for skin thats sensitive to scented products.
  • BioNike Defence Tolerance Essential Cleansing Water - I received this product in one of my Birchboxes and was excited to try it out. It claims to be a cleansing water, but the consistency is a thick gel so not really a water! I used it to remove my face makeup, but I never really felt it removed it all, it was difficult to spread because it was so thick meaning you had to use quite a bit of product to cover the whole face and even then I never felt like my makeup was off. So I wouldn't really recommend this product, it just didn't do anything for me, there are many better cleansing waters out there.
Makeup:
  • Benefit That Gal Brightening Face Primer - I did enjoy using this product it felt really moisturising when applied, but I just hated the sweet strawberry scent it had. Im not a big fan of strawberry or berry scents so that put me off, but it is only a personal preference. Other than that it was a good face primer, it made my makeup stay in place although it wasn't the most brightening primer, but it was still good.

Miscellaneous:
  • Yankee Candle in Soft Blanket - This was a gorgeous, warm, homely smell and I enjoyed burning it and would definitely repurchase it! Its just such a relaxing scent and it really chills you out!
  • Ted Baker Phone Case - Now I wanted to include my old phone case, as I have just purchased a new one (which is also tedbaker), because I think tedbaker phone cases are fab! They have amazing designs and look gorgeous, they fit perfectly to the phones and are just really sturdy. Although they are on the pricier side I feel they are worth it because they are so sturdy and stunning! So go get yourself one!

I love seeing what you have all been using up, so I hope you enjoy this post!

Date Night Makeup Look - Inspired By 'Shaaanxo'

I was having a lazy moment watching old YouTube videos and one of 'Shaanxo' old videos popped up 'Deep Metallic Golden Eyes & Dark Berry Lips'. It's such a gorgeous look, so I thought I would try to recreate it as a Date Night Look (using a different lip colour though)!

  • So firstly I did my base makeup the same as always, L.A Girl Pro Conceal, Bourjois Foundation, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, all buffed in with the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.
  • Then I lightly contoured and highlighted using the Collection Contour Kit.
  •  I filled my eyebrows in with a mix of Mac eyebrow pencil in Fling, and the ELF Eyebrow Treat & Tame.
  • Then I started on the main attraction - the eyes. I started by using the Benefit Stay Don't Stray Eye Primer, then blended Mac 'Omega' into the crease as a transition colour.
  • Next I packed on 'Baked Cowboy' by Urban Decay so it was bright gold, then very lightly blended that into the crease for a seamless look.
  • Next I took 'Lost' by Urban Decay and blended that into the outer corner and slightly in the crease to make it more defined, to darken the look even more I took 'Darkhorse' from my Naked 1 palette and blended that into the outer corner.
  • To brighten the gold I packed on another layer of 'Half Baked' from my Naked 1 palette and then blended some 'Darkhorse' and 'Half Baked' under my lower lash line just to bring the look together.
  • On the inner corner of my eye I took 'Sin' from Urban Decay and used that to highlight and brighten the inner corner.
  • To finish the eye look off I curled my lashes and put heaps of 'Lash sensational mascara' on.
  •  I then added some blush to the apples of my cheeks - Mac - Mocha.
  • Then I added Mac 'Whirl' lipliner and lipstick.
  •  To keep it all in place I sprayed my face with Mac Fix+.

This look is such a gorgeous wearable Date Night colour, and even if you were brave enough you could wear it out to work or shopping. Its such a versatile look and would really suit anyones eye colour or skin colour.

I hope you enjoyed this look! I would love to see if any of you try to recreate it too!

My Morning Routine

So this is the follow on from my previous post just my morning routine.
 Now first things first we all need a big cup of coffee to start the day off right?!? Well I do anyway! After I have drank that I will brush my teeth and use my Clarins 'pure melt cleansing gel' to do a cleanse on my face just to remove any dirt or impurities from my skin.

Next is to attempt to do my hair (which is normally a tragic attempt!) Oh and batiste dry shampoo is my best friend when it comes to my hair...Im going to do a review on all the dry shampoo's I have tried recently and see which ones are my favourite and which ones I don't like, so look out for that!

Next I have to tackle my face with a lot of makeup!

After that its all about what I'm going to wear - if its a college day it will be my uniform, if not it will most likely be my black ripped Topshop Joni jeans and a baggy top (my fave combo at the moment).

Then its on to whatever I'm doing that day!

I hope you enjoyed this post and again I would love to see your morning routines!

My Night Time Routine

As I sit here with my freshly brewed cup of tea (not coffee... because we have run out :( !!!) I thought I would share my evening routine with you. Now this is the routine I do about 2-3 times a week just to pamper myself and have some 'me' time.
First things first put on some music! Lately I've been LOVING Justin Bieber, so he's what I'm playing. Then get a fresh pair of pyjamas out ready for when you get out of the bath (nothing better than putting a fresh set on), which brings me on to my next step running a bath, which obviously includes a bath bomb!
Whilst I run a bath I do a quick cleanse over my face with my Clarins 'Pure Melt Cleansing Gel' just to get the majority of my makeup off. Then I relax in the bath with candles burning - Glade- relaxing zen is my favourite still!

Afterwards I get out and put my Pjs on, then its time to remove the rest of my makeup (I do this as the heat from the bath helps to melt and breakdown any leftover makeup making it easier to remove). I do another cleanse with the same gel, then use the Clarins eye makeup remover to get any leftover mascara off.

Next is to exfoliate my face with the Pure & Light organic 'Revitalising Facial Exfoliation'. Then comes the mask and I recently purchased The Face Shop black head removing one so I will just use that then apply my face cream which is again my trusty Clinique Moisture Surge, I always just find myself coming back to it.

Then I just sit and scroll through social media and Bloglovin (which is my fave) and chill out till its time to go to bed.  By then I would have definitely reached for my Animal Crossing New leaf on my 3ds which I'm obsessed with at the moment, I'm still a child at heart!

Also I would have been watching my favourite youtuber - Shani Grimmond!!!

I would love to hear any of your night time/ pamper time routines!

Night Night
