From a recent shopping trip (yes another one!) I noticed that super drug are now stocking The Balm, which is the best news ever it now means I can expand my collection more easily as its so accessible! How exciting!!!
Now let's get on to the actual products, they are definitely on the pricier side, but the quality is amazing! I would highly recommend the brand! The eyelid primer is amazing when used in conjunction with the Nude-tude palette, the colours don't crease and are so highly pigmented. They are so buttery and soft and honestly blend out like a dream. Also I have found its one of the best palettes I have for all the colours being usable, they are all beautiful, I can use all of them for any look. My favourite shade from it is 'Sexy' as it is such a unique burnt red colour, perfect for adding extra depth to a smoky eye. The bronzer is slightly too dark for my complexion but to use as a contour is perfect. It blends out so natural, so looks like a natural contour created by the light. It is also buttery and soft and doesn't look muddy at all.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this review and I would definitely recommend it to you!
Only 9 days till Christmas
(Disclaimer- the photos used were taken from the Feelunique website, I am in no way trying to claim them as my own!)
I know this is a day late but I was in bed ill all day yesterday ...Not fun!
In the advent calendar today I got:
Its the last day of the 12 days of Blogmas and I have enjoyed doing it so much! I hope everyone has enjoyed the posts! Anyway for the last one I thought I would do my go to Gym Make up and what I typically wear;
When Christmas time comes around there are so many exciting things that happen and one of them is 'Lush' bringing out their Christmas range. I mean you can't resist the 'Lush' bath bombs anyway, let alone when they are Christmas themed.
So this year I thought for the sake of a post (well that's my excuse) that I would try most of them out to relay back to you guys which ones are good and which ones are bad.
Peeping Santa- GOOD
Star Dust- GOOD
Five Gold Rings- GOOD
Luxury Lush Pud-Hmmm
Don't get me wrong all the Lush products are beautiful, but a couple of these just weren't the best smelling (hence the BAD/Hmmm), these are just opinions on them.
15 days till Christmas!
(Disclaimer - These images were taken direct from the Lush website, I am in no way trying to claim them as my own.)
So as soon as I heard Zoella mention this in one of her videos I knew I had to try it out! So I thought I would do a review on it as I have been using it for the last couple of weeks and I absolutely LOVE IT!
It is the 'Collection Contour Kit', and it is AMAZING! Both the highlight and sculpt shade are so pigmented. The sculpt shade is so natural when blended out and doesn't look at all muddy. The highlight shade isn't too chunky or shimmery its just a beautiful natural glow and would honesty work on any skin colour. Its such a versatile shade. Both are powders and the formulation is so buttery and soft making it so easy to blend out.
I bought mine from Superdrug but you can get it from any drugstore that carries 'Collection'. It was £4.19 and so worth the money! The packaging is also very sleek and sturdy making it an all round lovely product to use, so yes if you couldn't tell already I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try a contour kit. It is so affordable yet such high quality you cant go wrong.
So the best thing about December and the fact that its ALL about Christmas is the new drinks they bring out! Especially at one of my favourite places Costa. The fabulous drinks they have bought out this December are;
Sticky toffee latte
White hot chocolate
Mulled winter fruits
Black forest hot chocolate
Salted caramel cappuccino
Caramel fudge hot chocolate
Gingerbread and cream latte
My favourite drinks from this selection are the sticky toffee latte and the salted caramel cappuccino. They are AMAZING! I would definitely recommend them!
Anyway shout out to my girl Joanne who works there... go check out her blog!
As I got a new bag yesterday and had to do the transfer over from the old one to the new one, I thought I would show you whats in my new bag;
So firstly in the pocket I have your usual girlie essentials ;), also with some spare bobby pins and hair bobbles.
The only other pocket in the bag is where my phone would go.

I have my lipstick of choice which is currently 'Ruby Woo' by Mac.
I also carry around my apple headphones with me everywhere.
This is the cleared out contents of my new bag, before I basically had the entirety of my make up bag floating around the bottom of my bag. Hope you guys liked this post and its only 19 days till Christmas.
(Also I hope you like the revamped look of SimplyBeautyByLauren, and the falling snow!)
So today I did a little shopping, it was incredibly busy as its a saturday but so worth it seeing all the shops with their christmas decorations up! So I thought I would show you what I bought on my little trip....
It was a great success! I got a new handbag from Fiorelli, which I will be doing a blog post on 'Whats in my new bag'. Another bottle of my favourite primer at the moment - Bourjois Happy Light. A couple of new lush bath bombs from the Christmas collection - Five Gold Rings and Santa. Also a few of my favourite Youtubers products to add to my collection - Tanya Burrs eyebrow palette and Zoella's solid perfume. On the topic of Youtube from many many of their reviews on the mascara and the hype behind it I finally got the Lash sensational mascara! I will be doing an honest review on it to see if it lives up to all the hype.
I hope your all getting lots of shopping done and I would love to see what you have all bought recently.
Only 20 days till Christmas!
Monday - I went to see my bestfriend to complete the rest of my UCAS application so it could be sent off, anyone else find it really difficult to complete, it just seems to be taking forever.
Tuesday- Unfortunately I have work every tuesday night leading up to christmas so thats going to be fun! Also today is the first day of delivery's from all the online Christmas shopping I have done, so many more to arrive... whoops!
Wednesday - Again I have to work every Wednesday night leading up to Christmas as well, so that's even worse! But today was a busy day at college we had someone come in who is a waxing specialist (also ex military) so that was really interesting even though I hate waxing!
Thursday - This was a busy day I had my second exam at college (Body massage) which I got 100% in, and then all afternoon I have been completing a spray tanning course, which was so much fun and I highly recommend anyone to do it!
Friday - So first things first today I have woken up looking like an ompa lumpa from the spray tan, not good! Today is a more relaxed day I will do some tidying and jobs around the house and then I have my work Christmas meal this evening so that should be really good!
Anyway hope you liked hearing about my week and I would love to carry this on! Only 21 days till Christmas!
So today I thought I would do a Review on the Bourjois foundation and primer, as I have been using them both in conjunction with each other for the last couple of months.
The foundation is called 'Healthy Mix' and it's just amazing! It smells fresh and fruity as it claims to use fruit therapy. All I know is that I did use Mac studio sculpt foundation (NC20) and it broke me out, my face looked awful, always so oily and covered in pustules and papules. But then I saw in a YouTube video that someone was trying this and so I thought I would give it a go, and I have never looked back! As soon as I started using it I felt like my face looked more glowy and then it started to look less and less oily and the spots started to clear up. It was fantastic and every time I apply it I'm never disappointed. It spreads so evenly, but I feel that's also to do with the primer I use underneath. The Bourjois 'happy light' base serum in matte. It spreads so evenly on the skin and really helps to minimize pores. I use the matte one so it balances out with foundation and I'm left with a healthy glow. Together they work like a dream. I would highly recommend them to anyone, and you can get them from your local drugstore - Superdrug or Boots.
I hope this helped anyone make the decision to get them. Only 22 days till christmas!
Now onto the subject of preparing for Christmas ... I know it can be daunting and stressful but it doesn't have to be that way. I have some handy tips that can really help with future Christmas'.
First things first preparations for Christmas should be going on all throughout the year. Collecting gifts (that may be on offer) that will be acceptable Christmas presents, starting saving a little each month even £10 a month can really help when it gets to December, because we all know how expensive Christmas can be if you have a large family and a large list of people to buy for.
Now this brings me on to my second point, keeping a list of people who you are definitely going to buy for (and who are buying for you) this is important as it helps you calculate how expensive it's going to be and how many presents you need to get.
Next setting a budget with each other, as to how much you are going to spend on each other's presents, this will stop any risks of you or the other person spending too little or to much money on your presents.... We don't want any disappointments on Christmas Day.
I hope these little tips helped to calm a few of your nerves about the big day! Only 23 days to go!
It's the first day of blogmas.... How exciting that means it's only 24 days till Christmas! Also meaning the first day to open all your advent calendars!!!
This year I was lucky enough to get the body shop advent calendar (if anyone is interested it's £60 on the body shop website, not sure about its availability now though). So everyday I thought it would be fun to share what was inside it;
Anyway I hope everyone is having a brilliant first day of December and are getting ready to put all their lights and decorations up... If you haven't done so already! I hope all of you have started your Christmas shopping aswell!!! As a true lover of Christmas I have already done all of mine and all that's left is to wrap them.... I don't think I have ever made it to December to buy presents, in my mind as soon as Halloween is over it's all about Christmas! Also it's time to get the Christmas songs out.... I would love to hear what everyone's favourite christmas songs are?
So everyday for the next 12 days I will posting!
Anyway hope you are all enjoying your day, speak to you tomorrow!
So recently I have been having quite a few lazy days.... I have literally stayed in bed all day! Whoopsie!
